Title
Trial Assessing Light-Intensity Exercise on the Health of Older Breast Cancer Survivors (TALIE-HO Breast Cancer Survivors)
Objective
1.1 Study Objectives

The Trial Assessing Light-Intensity Exercise on the Health of Older Breast Cancer Survivors (TALIE-HO Breast Cancer Survivors) pilot randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the efficacy of a home-based, light-intensity physical activity intervention among obese, older adult breast cancer survivors, in comparison to a usual care control condition.

Aim 1: We will evaluate if a 15 week, home-based, light-intensity physical activity intervention improves markers of inflammation in obese older adult breast cancer survivors to a greater magnitude than a usual care control group.

Hypothesis: The group randomized to the light-intensity physical activity intervention will have larger magnitude improvements in markers of inflammation than the usual care control group.

Aim 2: We will evaluate if a 15 week, home-based, light-intensity physical activity intervention improves cognitive function in obese, older adult breast cancer survivors to a greater magnitude than a usual care control group.

Hypothesis: The group randomized to the light-intensity physical activity intervention will have larger magnitude improvements in cognitive function than the usual care control group.

Aim 3: We will evaluate if a 15 week, home-based, light-intensity physical activity intervention reduces anxiety symptoms in obese, older adult breast cancer survivors to a greater magnitude than a usual care control group.

Hypothesis: The group randomized to the light-intensity physical activity intervention will have larger magnitude reductions in anxiety symptoms than the usual care control group.

Aim 4: We will evaluate if a 15 week, home-based, light-intensity physical activity intervention changes alcohol consumption in obese, older adult breast cancer survivors to a greater magnitude than a usual care control group.

Hypothesis: The group randomized to the light-intensity physical activity intervention will consume more alcohol than the usual care control group.
