Dysgeusia and Anosmia in Head and Neck Cancer Patients: Long Term Outcomes
Objective
The primary aim of this study is to understand taste changes after head and neck cancer treatment, especially long term taste dysfunction using subjective data via surveys (taste survey and quality of life survey) and objective data using taste testing. Additionally, we plan to correlate the objective taste and smell deficits with location of radiation and cancer. Secondary aims include identifying smell changes via peel-and-sniff cards and functional MRI (fMRI) changes in patients with persistent smell and taste dysfunction.
